Our Story
A beacon of compassion in Greene county — offering shelter, hope, and a fresh start.
Who We Are
Bridges of Hope is a Christ-centered, non-profit organization dedicated to serving persons in Greene County experiencing homelessness, poverty or addictive behavior.
We seek to give hope and see lives transformed by ministering to the entire person — physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
"Sharing Hope. Restoring Lives. Reflecting Christ."
What Guides Us
We treat every guest with dignity, kindness, and genuine care — no matter their circumstances.
We provide a secure, welcoming environment where guests can rest and begin to heal.
We offer the tools, resources, and encouragement guests need to rebuild their lives and find lasting stability.
We partner with local churches, businesses, and volunteers to extend our reach and impact.
What We Believe
Bridges of Hope bases its ministry on the following statement of faith.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.
We believe that the ministry of evangelism and discipleship is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ.
Our Programs
Our shelter is open 24 hours a day — providing safe accommodations 365 days a year. During the day, the DayHub offers recovery support, job search help, GED classes, counseling, legal aid, life skills groups, resume writing, art classes, and three meals per day.
The community can donate clothing, food, and toiletries to directly meet the everyday needs of our guests. Over 3,000 lbs of supplies are distributed each year.
